You will need to consult the policies of the reservation you made online or the one sent to you in the confirmation of the reservation you made directly with us.
If you want to know our policies before making a reservation, you can always ask us for the email mentioned in the previous question.

Reception is open from 08am to 5pm. There may be some exceptions, but don’t worry, after this time, we always leave a telephone and our emergency contacts at your disposal, should you need it.

Check-in is from 3pm. However, we have lockers available in the lobby if you wish to check-in earlier. If possible, always let us know the time of your arrival for better internal management.

Check-out is until 11:30am. Remember to bring the key-card given to you at check-in.
You can also leave your bags with us if you have a later flight.

Of course! In the reservation confirmation you will be sent a personal access code to the building and to your room, which will allow you to carry out a self-check-in.
The next day, you will have to go through reception with the identification of all guests.

Ilha Hostel is located at Rua Comandante Jaime de Sousa 9, 9500-047 Ponta Delgada.
To find us more easily, you can use the restaurant “O Avião” as a reference. We stay in front.

Taxi: Costs €10. You can find several at the airport.
Aerobus: The closest stop to the hostel is number 7, and then you just must go up the street behind the fountain until the end, passing by the gas station and the courthouse. The accommodation is in the small street next to a stationery shop with pink posters.

We always advise our guests to rent a car. It’s the best way to explore the island!
There are public transports, but the schedules are not always the best, and sometimes they stop far from the most interesting sights.

Not at the moment. However, we can recommend a great self-service laundry really close to us!

The kitchen is equipped with an oven, electric cooktop, fridge and freezer, toaster and kettle, microwave and all the necessary utensils to cook your meals.
We ask you to respect the rules set out in the kitchen about washing, drying, and tidying up the utensils and crockery/cutlery you used, so that other guests can do the same.
We also have labels and a pen on the fridge door so you can identify your stuff.

Yes! We have wifi available in the rooms and common areas.

Shampoo/shower gel and hand soap dispensers are available in all rooms.

You will find towels in your room, and in the locker (in case of the dorms). They can be changed daily, or only on request.
We also borrow towels if you want to take them to the wonderful thermal pools!

Do not. All rooms are accessed by stairs, except for the only wheelchair-accessible room on the ground floor.

Yes! Just request before check-in day, and we’ll try our best to provide a varied breakfast.

Although we love animals, we cannot allow them inside the hostel.
